4. The cookie consent preference

The banner appears on a first visit because no preference has yet been recorded. Selecting either option writes the value described above and closes the banner.

This single item is treated as essential in the narrow sense that it exists only to honour a choice you have made. Without it, the banner would have to be shown on every page view, which would be worse for everyone.

If you make no choice and simply continue reading, nothing is stored at all. The banner will appear again on your next visit.

5. Interface preferences

No interface preferences are currently stored. This website has no theme switcher, no language switcher and no layout options that persist between visits.

Presentation adapts automatically to your device width and to the reduced-motion setting your operating system reports. Neither of those is recorded or stored — they are read from the browser at the moment a page is displayed.

6. Temporary form state

The project enquiry form does not save what you type to browser storage. If you close the page before submitting, the content is not retained by this website.

Some browsers restore form fields themselves when you use the back button, which is browser behaviour rather than something this website implements. If you are working on a shared device and want to be certain, close the tab and clear the form before leaving.

Should draft-saving ever be added, this section will be updated to describe exactly what would be stored and for how long.

7. localStorage and sessionStorage

localStorage holds the single cookie-banner preference described in section 3. It persists until you clear site data for this website in your browser.

sessionStorage is not used. Nothing is written to it by any page on this website.

Both stores are restricted by the browser to pages served from this website's own address. Other websites cannot read them.

8. What this website does not use

Stated explicitly, because the absence is deliberate rather than accidental:

• no analytics or statistics packages of any kind;
• no advertising or remarketing technology;
• no tracking pixels, web beacons or invisible images;
• no social media buttons, embeds or share widgets;
• no third-party fonts, scripts or stylesheets loaded from external servers;
• no embedded maps, videos or chat services;
• no cross-site profiling, fingerprinting or behavioural measurement.

All fonts used are those already present on your device, and every stylesheet, script and image is served from this website itself.

9. Your choices in the banner

The banner offers three actions.

• Accept Essential. Records the value essential. Nothing is enabled beyond the storage of that preference, because nothing optional is installed.
• Reject Non-Essential. Records the value rejected. Only the preference itself is stored.
• Cookie Information. Opens this page.

Because no analytics or advertising technology exists on this website, both choices leave analytics disabled. Neither option changes how the website behaves, and neither causes anything additional to be loaded. The difference is a record of the answer you gave.

10. Changing or removing your choice

You can reopen the banner at any time using the button in section 3, and select a different option.

To remove the stored value entirely, clear site data or local storage for this website in your browser settings. The banner will then appear again on your next visit, exactly as it did the first time.

Removing the value has no other effect on the website.

11. Access is never blocked

The banner does not block access to this website. Every page, every service description and every legal document remains fully readable whether you accept, reject or ignore it.

The enquiry form works regardless of the choice made, and no content is withheld pending consent.

12. Third-party services

This website is hosted on Netlify, and the project enquiry form is processed using Netlify Forms.

Form submissions are transmitted to and stored by Netlify before being made available to DEVNOVA. That processing happens when you submit the form; it does not involve cookies being set on your browser by this website, and it does not track your browsing.

As with any hosting platform, the provider handles standard technical request information — such as the IP address making a request — in order to deliver pages and protect the service. Further detail is in the Privacy Policy.

No other third-party service is embedded in these pages.

13. Browser controls

Browsers provide their own controls for cookies and site data. These typically allow you to block storage, delete existing data, or clear everything when the browser closes.

Blocking storage for this website means the cookie banner will appear on every visit, because the preference cannot be saved. Nothing else stops working.

Controls are found in the privacy or site-settings area of your browser, and the wording differs slightly between browsers and versions.

14. If analytics are added later

There is no current intention to add analytics. If that changes, the position described on this page changes with it — and it would be dishonest to leave a policy in place that no longer matches what the website does.

In that event, this policy would be updated to name the provider, describe what is collected and state the retention period; the banner would be updated so that a rejection genuinely prevents the optional technology from loading; and the effective date would be revised.

Optional technology would not be loaded before a choice has been made.

15. Updates to this policy

This policy is updated whenever the storage used by this website changes. The effective date shown at the top of the page indicates when the current version took effect.

The description in section 3 is intended to be a complete list of what is stored, not a representative sample.
